This is a picture of a general store in a town during the time of the great depression. As you can see, It is very empty and there are no cars around or even any people. This is due to the lack of money and food. Since people had little to no money, They werent able to just get up and go to the store whenever they desired and pick up the weekly groceries. To me this is neither a negative or a positive picture because it has no life in it. I would ask the photographer if this store was still in business and if anyone usually goes there.

In this picture, There are a few African American men. To me, this can mean a few different things. The men can just be sitting around in the streets because they didnt have jobs and had nowhere better to be. Or, they could have not been allowed in any of the stores, shops, resteraunts ect. due to there race. Even if they were allowed in stores and shops ect., they probably didnt have the money to buy anything. This is a negative picture to me because every single person in the picture is black so I think this is showing discrimination. I would ask the photographer if this picture is showing discrimination and was the town that this pictuure was taken in a mostly black populated town.

Here is a picture of two African American females walking down a long country road. These two ladies are probably coming back from working in the fields. One of them is holding her back which could be a symbol of soreness. The other one is holding a bucket which may have cotton or whatever else they were gathering in it. Also, people didnt have the money for vehicles so that is why tey are walking. This is definately a negative picture because I think that it is showing slavery. I would ask the photagrapher where this picture was taken and if it is actually showing examples of slavery.
Part 2 B:
This picture is showing discrimination because the sign above the motel says "Hotel Clark... The Best Service For Colored Only." There are a few black men in the photo but there are no white people. This is a negative picture because I think that discrimination is terrible. The hotel looks un down and all beat up. I would ask the photographer if that whole side of the street was a "colored" side because there arent any white people and I would ask him/her what he/she felt about this picture.
This resturant has a sign that says "Bryants Hot Fish, For colored Only." This is a negative picture due to the fact that it has descrimination involvedin it. There really is no "mood" in this picture because it is still. There is nobody around and the shop is empty. I would ask the photographer what the white people side of the street looked like compared to this and if the colored side looked more trashier. This photograph shows the shop but it looks like there is garabage in the streets and aon the sidewalks.
This picture looks terrible. Not only does it display descrimination, the actual "colored cabin" itself looks all beat up and run down. I think it is a negative picture because of this. I would ask the photographer if this place was still in business. There is absolutely noone aroundand the cabin looks like a shack. It looks to be an almost gloomy picture.
